I would like to take undertone photos without letting my phone decide the colours. I have noticed that automatic settings can hide the differences I am looking for. The setup will be one uncluttered spot with indirect natural light. To make the images comparable, I will use one distance and no visual effects. I am considering a neutral card in the photo so the light has a visible reference. I would rather collect two comparable sessions than chase a quick answer. A simple skin undertone test camera would help me keep the setup consistent while I gather my own observations. I do not expect a digital image to answer every undertone question. I want to review the photographs slowly before assigning a warm or cool label. How do you keep your phone from changing the comparison halfway through? Low-cost methods would be ideal because I am only learning the basics. I will avoid changing the setup halfway through the small experiment. Thanks for any practical suggestions from your own experiments.
